Hi team , We have specific team which is on pagerduty schedule for weekend. We have created the layer, Is it possible to only show weekend calendar for the team as now it is showing whole week in the schedule tab.
Rundeck 4.8.0 community version on Redhat 9 Linux with Windows node. My Rundeck jobs call powershell (.ps1) scripts on the windows node as a command. For example : Command : E:\\Scripts\\test.ps1 -name ${option.name} -address ${option.address} If there are any errors encountered in the script, the Rundeck job dies. The rundeck output gives the NonZeroResultCode message NonZeroResultCode: [WinRMPython] Result code: 1 There’s more code that needs to be run after where the error occurred, but Rundeck just dies and doesn’t continue the rest of the .ps1. I previously used Rundeck version 3.something, I thing it was 3.9. If there was an error in the script, such as a get or a set failed, the Rundeck console would just display the text of the error in red, and continue. Now I know I can change my code and add try/catch statements, -erroraction SilentlyContinue and so on. However it makes no sense to me that Rundeck takes it upon itself to kill my script because a get or a set failed. I want t
I was wondering if there were a way to send an alert directly from an Azure action group to a global orchestration api? I’ve noticed that if I send directly using the orchestration key v2 event api it doesn’t fire - I’m assuming as the payload doesn’t match what PagerDuty is expecting vs if you add the azure integration directly to a service and alert that way it’s quite happy?
Hi I was wondering if it is possible to close an incident with a new alert from the same source. I am using Mezmo to check for BFD alerts but have no way of closing the incident automatically when the link comes back up. So I was hoping to use an up alert from Mezmo to close the incident that is created by the down alert, is there anything that can do this within Pagerduty, or would it be best to look at Mezmo? Sorry if this has already been asked or documented. Thanks
hello, How I understood it was that pagerduty would pause the incident-creation & notification for incoming alerts for x minutes and wait for it to be auto-resolved. And only in case it isn’t resolved within the x-minutes create an incident. I’ve done some tests (setting = 10 minutes) and the incidents are created immediately when the alert arrived, executing workflows and escalation policies. Am I missing another setting that should be set? Thanks in advance
I have Rundeck 4.10.1 running on RH linux 9. I have AD authentication set up which works well. I have various Rundeck security groups in Active Directory and various aclpolicy files in /etc/rundeck to allow different groups have permissions to certain projects. All works well. But I want to nest existing AD groups into the Rundeck groups so that I don’t have to add 100 individuals to a rundeck group to give permissions. jmurphy is a member of the Engineering group. If I add Engineering to RundeckEngineering, jmurphy has no permissions. If I add jmurphy directly to RundeckEngineering, he gets the Rundeck permissions. Here is my jaas-activedirectory.conf file: activedirectory { com.dtolabs.rundeck.jetty.jaas.JettyCachingLdapLoginModule required debug=“true” contextFactory=“com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory” providerUrl=“ldap://NYMGMTDC01.management.corp:389” bindDn=“CN=rundeck,OU=Service Accounts,OU=Management,DC=mydomain,DC=corp” bindPassword=“PASSWORD” authenticationMethod=“simple” forc

Hello, writing here after trying to reach the official support via mail and receiving no answers. People in my organization are having issues when trying to direct alerts to specific slack channels, for example, I am unable to find “docs-processing-eng-oncall” in the screenshot. Any suggestion on how to address this? Multiple teams have complained about this already. Regards, Federico
Hello. Is it possible to change the impacted service after it has been created? Not to create a new one, but rather have the ability to freely change it any given time. Thank you in advance.
Hi Team, When I create an incident in PagerDuty to ServiceNow, the webhook is getting automatically disabled. Does someone know what the possible reasons could be for webhook getting failed?
Hi, My use case is that I would like manually trigger an incident in PD from JIRA, and to be able to conditionally route that incident to a specific service somehow (assume global rule). I’m looking at doing this with a custom field (drop down) in JIRA. This would allow our support function to create a low of high urgency incident in PD after triaging a ticket. I have a JQL statement that maps my custom field in JIRA and triggers an incident in PD ✅ I cannot work out if it’s possible however to create a conditional routing rule for this incident. Looking at the event details, I only see the JIRA ticket subject in ‘Extra details’ and the following in ‘Event details’ { "version": 1, "type": "doc", "content": [ { "type": "paragraph", "content": [ { "type": "text", "text": "My ticket description" } ] } ] } … which has the description text from the ticket. Is there any way more information can be included in the event details that could be used in
We would like to send an event to PagerDuty once a day say at noon and if the event is not received by 12:10 then create an alarm. Is this possible to setup? Thanks, Craig
Hi team, When I run a workflow with an action to add responder on a incident, it is creating so many worknotes on Servicenow. Worknotes creation wont stop until I resolve the snow incident. Could someone help me on this?
Hey, I am using the schedule API https://api.pagerduty.com/schedules/{id} to update the schedule of the specific ID to update the existing configuration layer with new users. But the problem I am facing is, API wont replace the existing configuration layer with new users instead it is adding one more configuration layer with same name. Duplicate configuration layers are getting created. Please help me to resolve this issue.
Hi, We are planning to implement Content Based Grouping using two fields. Upon review, one of the fields is empty for most of the events. How grouping will work based on this scenario? Will it group considering only one field? or Will it ignore grouping since one of the fields is null? Thanks
We are looking to clean up our PagerDuty architecture. We currently have the pattern of “High Urgency” service(s) for immediate notification and “Low Urgency” services for those incidents that should be addressed during work hours, but otherwise get assigned to a dummy user until the next day. Ideally we would like just the one Service where all alerts gets routed to. Then to and escalate based on event severity. We have 24/7 support cover for High Urgency incidents, but we don’t want low urgency incidents going to the on call person over the weekend, evening etc. Is there any way to achieve this? e.g. a) During working hours (08:30am - 05:00pm Mon - Thurs): Notify the on-call person, regardless of severity (HIGH severity is immediate - a phone call, LOW severity can be email) b) Outside of working hours: i) If the alert has LOW severity: Assign to a dummy user. Reassign to the on-call person on the team when working hours start ii) If the alert has HIGH severity: Notify the on-call pe
Hi All, I’m trying to revamp our on call schedule and I’m having a hard time figuring out exactly how to configure the schedule / escalation policies to get the desired outcome. We have an escalation policy with 2 schedules on it, a primary and a secondary. When an incident occurs PG pages the primary on call schedule and it that person don’t respond in a set amount of time we have PG page the secondary. At the end of the week the primary engineer rolls off, the secondary becomes the new primary, and the next engineer in the schedule becomes the secondary. It’s pretty straight forward. The desired outcome here is for us to have the two schedules alternate between teams. So if a member of team A is the current primary oncall then a member of team B is the secondary oncall and vice versa. The issue is that our teams are not the same size. This means I can’t just simply alternate the users in the schedule because eventually I would end up with the same team 2 weeks in a row (i.e. ABABAABA
Hey, I’m trying to create the following: resource “pagerduty_event_orchestration_router” “router” { event_orchestration = pagerduty_event_orchestration.devops.id set { id = “start” rule { label = “Events relating to Ace” condition { expression = “event.summary matches part ‘ace\\b’” } actions { route_to = pagerduty_service.ace.id } } } catch_all { actions { route_to = “unrouted” } } } And getting the following error code when running terraform apply: Error: PUT API call to https://api.pagerduty.com/event_orchestrations/6fd1056d-59f8-4e04-9d90-5d92b1cf301d/router failed 400 Bad Request. Code: 0, Errors: map[sets:[map[rules:[map[conditions:[map[expression:[unexpected word '‘ace’ on line 1 offset 27 unexpected symbols ‘’ on line 1 offset 31, unexpected word ‘’’ on line 1 offset 33]]]] As you can see, i’m using \\ but still. Thanks
Hello, Is it possible to send a custom email with Zoom Meeting link and slack channel link from PagerDuty automatically using an API?
Hey all, Pretty new to PagerDuty Process Automation/Rundeck, and have hopefully a general question. Are node filters only viewable/usable by the user who creates them? Is there any way to set these filters at a project level? I’ve created a project for a team to use, and created filters within the node list to group their clusters. We pull nodes from Chef, and their clustering is NOT included in the tags, so the best option I could think of is the filters. Can I share my filters at the project level, or would all the users have to recreate the filters? Or am I dumb and should be doing this another way? Haha. Thanks!
I have an integration where some events sent from DataDog to PagerDuty are being sent as severity “error” when in reality they are just “warning”. (This is due to not being able to set a warning threshold only on the DataDog side.) Within PagerDuty I would like to reset the severity to warning using event rules. Looking at the docs, I should be able to update any CEF field, but severity isn’t in the drop down. https://support.pagerduty.com/docs/rulesets#dynamic-field-enrichment--extraction Can this be accomplished?
Is it possible to customize the email notifications automatically sent by PagerDuty when a incident is created?
Can we select the status update template while adding send status update as an action in the response play?
I recently inherited the my groups PagerDuty. The way my org has this set up is if an email is sent to a mailbox, it forwards to PagerDuty. We have email spam filtering on, and it works quite well in Outlook, however the mail will come in, move the email to junk, and still forward the spam to PagerDuty, thus alerting us. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
Hi, I am fetching Incidents information using https://developer.pagerduty.com/api-reference/9d0b4b12e36f9-list-incidents API. Here i am able to fetch all Incidents which are in resolved, acknowledged and triggered state. If i filter user in user_ids[] parameter, it gives Incidents which are in triggered state. Expected behaviour: All Incidents should list irrespective of Incidents status (resolved or acknowledged or triggered) after filtering with user id (passing user id in parameter user_ids[]) Witnessed behaviour: Incidents listed for the filtered user with only triggered state
