EU accounts can now create new Oauth Apps from the Integrations menu. These apps can be used for own custom integrations or third-party developers creating an integration to PagerDuty for customers. 👉 Create an OAuth App

It’s the holiday season! ✨ This period may bring some increased demand, coupled with potential staffing shortages due to team members taking well-deserved breaks. That’s why crafting an effective on-call schedule becomes crucial to ensure continuous service availability. With all this in mind, we’re rolling out a new feature: 🚀 Schedule Layer Copy 🚀 The new Schedule Layer Copy feature allows users to duplicate an entire layer configuration within a schedule or to copy specific components of an existing layer into a new one. This speeds up the schedule creation process and addresses different scheduling and rotation needs. Learn how to best leverage this new feature from Sr. Product Manager @kara smith:

We are rolling out some updates to PagerDuty’s REST API rate limits, including: A refreshed rate limiting system to more consistently and accurately enforce REST API rate limits New response headers within our REST APIs so that customers can programmatically control the request load sent to PagerDuty Four dimensions used to enforce the rate limit Best practices 💪 Ensure your application is ready to handle being rate limited Update your application to slow down the rate of requests after receiving a 429 response code. For fine-grained control your application can make use of the ratelimit-reset header to wait the appropriate number of seconds

You can now use the Escalation Policies API to apply Round Robin to new and existing Escalation Policies via Terraform and directly through the API (if you rely on automation, you’ll be able to use this functionality for your workflows). Learn more in the API documentation

Response teams can now add Slack as a contact method and use it as a part of notification rules for incident response! As a prerequisite, PagerDuty’s Slack integration must be added to an organization’s Slack Workspace. 💡 PagerDuty recommends that when setting up a contact method, you always have a secondary option
