Slack notification plugin

We were recently doing a review of our plugins and noticed that version 2.0.0 is available for the Slack notification plugin. However when checking via โ€œFind Pluginsโ€ the community version of Rundeck only shows version 1.2.4. Now from seeing the Rundeck documentation I see the Slack notification plugin is now a Enterprise plugin. So am I right in assuming the Community version will be stuck on 1.2.4?

Hey there! You are exactly right. The Slack Notification Plugin (v2.0.0+) is a certified commercial plugin designed for our Enterprise and Cloud tiers, so the built-in option exposed via "Find Plugins" in Rundeck Community will remain on the open-source v1.2.4 baseline.
If v1.2.4 is missing modern features you need, you can drop alternative, community-maintained integrations into your server's /libext folder. The best place to look is the official rundeck-plugins organization on GitHub. Alternatively, you can completely bypass plugins by configuring native Webhook notifications in your jobs using a standard Slack Incoming Webhook URL
