Hello friends, I have a question that I have not been able to find the answer to, either by slogging through https://support.pagerduty.com/docs/mobile-app-settings or by clicking around the app and looking at every setting I can find. I also did a quick search here in the forum and couldn’t spot an answer.

Specifically, I’m trying to figure out how to configure the sound that plays when my oncall shift starts and stops. I’ve looked in the main alert settings where you set high and low urgency alert sounds and haven’t found it.

Right now, the sound that plays when I start a shift is a very soft bloop and i want to make that quite a bit more alarming, but I haven’t been able to find a place to set it.

Hi @steven glassman, I confirmed with the iOS team and PagerDuty doesn’t support changing the sound for the On Call Booster notification channel - only between high and low urgency notifications.

Thanks for the confirmation. That’s a terrible oversight! That bloop is so quiet! I’m actually a little amazed there’s no option to set a sound to signify the start and end to oncall shifts.

@steven glassman I’ve flagged this to the mobile team so they can work this on the roadmap.

Additionally, the product team suggested that you add an on-call widget to your device’s home screen to keep track of upcoming schedules:
