Critical Alerts for iOS allow push notifications to bypass an iPhone’s Do Not Disturb and silent mode settings, But I can’t find this setting in my app, the system is ios 17.0.1

Hello, @昊典 李

In iOS, these settings are configured at the device level. If you tap the “Critical Alerts for High-Urgency” in the PagerDuty App, it should ask you to change the behavior via Settings, and take you to the right place in Settings.

To find the setting directly, go to Settings->Search for PagerDuty and tap it->Notifications and toggle the “Critical Alerts” setting.

I’m not sure if it’s the law in my area or something else, but I can’t find these configurations on my app and system

Hi @昊典 李,

this might be happening due to the latest iOS update. Our product team is currently working on all related requests. More updates will be shared soon!

Having the same problem here for over a year now, any updates?
The app is useless to me without this feature as we can’t get notified when most people’s phone are on silent most of the time...
Thanks

Hi @PatrickCharriere, I can see you’ve already raised a support ticket. I’m copying the reply from PD support here in case other community members face the same issue.

Have you recently migrated to a new device? Or have you had the same service for some time and have never had access to the critical alerts setting?

The first troubleshooting step we would suggest is reset and then re-install the PagerDuty app.  Please see the steps below:

  1. Open your device settings > Apps > PagerDuty and hit the "Reset" toggle in the app settings.
  2. Open the PagerDuty app to confirm you have been logged out.
  3. Delete the PagerDuty app from your device.
  4. Delete any devices from your user profile in the PagerDuty web UI.
  5. Reinstall the PagerDuty app and set up.

Let us know how you go with the above. If the behaviour persists, can you please share the following:

  • Screenshots of your Notification settings when going to your device settings > Apps > PagerDuty > Notifications.
  • Your device details:
    • Model
    • OS
    • PagerDuty App version
