Notes time

Hi,

We are using the Rest API. Following is the response of Notes API:
{
“notes”: [
{
“id”: “PWL7QXS”,
“user”: {
“id”: “PXPGF42”,
“type”: “user_reference”,
“summary”: “Earline Greenholt”,
“self”: “https://api.pagerduty.com/users/PXPGF42”,
“html_url”: “https://subdomain.pagerduty.com/users/PXPGF42
},
“content”: “Firefighters are on the scene.”,
“created_at”: “2013-03-06T15:28:51-05:00”
}
]
}
We have seen that all other end points are working on Time zone UTC 0 but this particular is giving date with timezone. So there are mainly 2 questions:

  1. Which time zone is it refering? it is PagerDuty Time Zone?
  2. How to get this data in UTC 0 format?

Regards,
Sonal

Hi Sonal!

I think you’re referring to the REST API example data that is available on the right-hand side:

REST API

Please use your account’s REST API token from Configuration > API access or generate a personal API token in your user profile. If you’d like to use the API testing page, you can input your token on the top-left corner of the page under API TOKEN.

The example data is in EST timezone but you can input your own timezone such as UTC to review the notes tied to your personal account.

The example data is in EST timezone but you can input your own timezone such as UTC to review the notes tied to your personal account. -> how is this possible?

Apologies for the confusion as I was reviewing the GET incident log_entries option which included the ability to control the time zone.

It does not appear that the time zone can be formatted when listing notes though I’ve marked this down as a feature request!

There is an annotate_log_entry type of Log Entry which you could use to obtain the note details in another time zone such as UTC.
