Same responsible in both primary and secondary rotation

Hi! Our team uses two rotations: primary, which includes everyone, and secondary which is a subset of the first. Often we’re seeing the same person being scheduled for both, which makes no sense for our layout. Thus, people have to make overrides manually every time they see it.

Is there a way to resolve that automatically?

We currently do not offer a way for the schedule to recognize when the same user is on call more than once.

Unfortunately, I can’t see how the “primary and secondary on-call” manual helps - isn’t there still this issue? I wonder, why this is not a frequent request - is it because usually, rotations include different sets of peoples?

Hello Jan,

Most of the time, such rotations would be made of different sets of users. If they are the same sets of users, it is expected that in a rotation, at some point there will be an overlap.
That said, it will be great to see the sort of Schedules you have configured. As this is a public space, we would want such account-sensitive details to be directed to the Support Team. Please can you email with details of the schedules, then we will go from there.
