Can i setup cron jobs with custom scripts and schedule it on PD to create incidents?

I am new to Pager Duty. Please help me know if there is a way I can write custom scripts (to monitor external app), schedule cron for these scripts, and create incidents based on the job results all within PagerDuty

Hello Niteesh,

PagerDuty is not a monitoring platform so you would not be able to run your script within; nor schedule a cron. However, you can have Incidents triggered as a outcome of the job. The incidents just need to be routed to a service in PagerDuty.
