Hello there, PagerDuty Community!
We want to make sure everyone can join us at Summit. As a thank you for being a part of the community - we secured code
PDS19Community350 for you to unlock a $350 flat rate ticket. Simply drop that in when you register and you’re all set!
There are a ton of great reasons to attend Summit, but here are a few that should get ya pumped:
Chaos Engineering Workshop
We are excited to offer a Chaos Engineering Workshop, Wednesday at 12:30, in cooperation with our friend Bruce Wong at StitchFix. Attendees will work together to remediate randomized table top problem scenarios before they “negatively impact the business”. Capacity is limited - so show up early to secure your spot!
The line-up for Summit is pretty awesome - DevOps experts and industry leaders, CEO’s and Co-founders, NBA players (ok, just one NBA player), a Guinness World Record holder, and a few folks from our own leadership team. They’ll cover a variety of topics including the business impact of HybridOps, DevOps best practices, chaos engineering, and technology integrations.
You’ll also get the in-depth, inside scoop on PagerDuty’s newest capabilities to help you get the most out of our platform. We’ll have experts available to help you explore how to leverage existing tools within our ecosystem by integrating them with PagerDuty to optimize your existing technology investments.
Our popular Breakathon event is back and better than ever! The Breakathon is similar to a hackathon but with “breaks” to investigate in order to win the game. To solve the mystery of the game, you’ll need to SSH into the application hosts, use the clues to diagnose the problem, and fix it as quickly as possible. It’s totally free, register now and be sure to bring all your friends!
Birds of a Feather (BoF) Lunch
We’re hosting BoF lunch to help attendees find peers to chat about common hot topics:
- Monolith of Microservices
- Tech Ethics
- Chaos Engineering War Stories
You need to “opt in” to the BoF Luncheon during your Summit registration process and be sure to select your top interests!
Developer Resource Center
Throughout the event, our Community Team will be at our Developer Resource Center (DRC). Some of our subject matter experts will be on hand to discuss and answer questions about everything PagerDuty, Ops Guides, and developer best practices and recommendations. Our Developer Ecosystem Team will also be there and would love to hear what you’re doing with the PagerDuty API and get feedback from you for future enhancements. Be sure to stop by and show off what you’re building and ask us any questions you may have!
Customer Appreciation Party
We are tenting off Union Square (yes, that Union Square!) for our Customer Appreciation Party. Interested in augmented reality? We’ll have that. Interactive art project? We’ll have that, too! Or maybe you just want to grab a drink and some food, and spend your time mingling and networking with attendees, sponsors, and speakers before hitting the dance floor. The party starts at 6:30 p.m. sharp—don’t be late!
Summit attendees have the opportunity to give back to the local community through one of our long-term partners, Code Tenderloin, a San Francisco-based organization that helps people transition to employment by providing a unique curriculum that covers technical skills, soft skills, interview preparation, resume creation, and one-on-one mentorship. Following the Tuesday keynotes, we all will build hygiene and interview kits to distribute to their community
Come see who won the Community Champion Award live on the mainstage. Last year @simonfiddaman took home the honors, who will it be this year?!
