DR and signing in without SSO

Our organization uses SSO for log in. If we need to delve into DR, and SSO is not an option, how would we best advise our users to login to PagerDuty for any alerts? Thanks!

Hi Kristy.

It’s a two-step process. If SSO isn’t working, the Account Owner can log in with their email address and password to disable SSO. Other users can then attempt a login with their email address and use the Forgot Password form to set a local password.

The ability for the Account Owner to log in with email and password is mentioned on the SSO docs page, and can’t be disabled:

Thanks Mandi! If we were to test this process, would we be able to turn SSO back on just as easily?

You would! Make sure your Account Owner is always a current employee and knows their role in your DR process.
