event api integration key does it need to be a secret?

The Pager Duty Event API v2 needs an integration key, and I wanted to know if this integration needs to be saved as a secret?

If it needs to be saved as a secret, how do we show the Integration key to our users, when they update the Notify URL and the Integration Key in our application? Is there an equivalent of an ID to identify the integration key?

Hi Manali! Yes, integration keys should be secured and saved as a secret since this will identify which PagerDuty service the event will be routed to. Unfortunately, we don’t have IDs assigned to integration keys. We would suggest storing keys in an encrypted file or in a secured private document when sharing internally to other users.

Hope this helps!
