Using Slack Workflow to Open Incidents

We have our users selecting workflows through slack to notify us when there’s a problem. I would like to create an incident through pagerduty as a part of the workflow to track incidents and time.

I thought it would be simple by configuring a slash command & sending a message to a channel through the workflow, but when the workflow sends the message, it doesn’t work. If I copy + paste the exact message it works.

Has anyone dealt with this? Any suggestions?

This must be a new concept… Are there Pagerduty community admins that can help me?


Please can you confirm the version of Slack you have configured? There is the V1 and the V2 of the Slack Integration.
I think that would be a good place to start so we can define the expectation for each version.
