Unable to create incidents from Prometheus Alertmanager integration

I’m attempting to integrate my Prometheus Alertmanager with my PagerDuty account following the instructions in https://www.pagerduty.com/docs/guides/prometheus-integration-guide/ - I am using “Integrating with Global Event Routing”.

The alertmanager config looks fine, and I can also see a “Notifying PagerDuty” in my Alertmanager logs. However, no incident gets created in PD. I have checked that my current user is on call and associated with the default escalation policy. What might I be doing wrong?

It appears you don’t have any rules in your ruleset to route the incident anywhere, leading to the catch-all rule suppressing them. Once you create rules as per the Knowledge Base guide I linked here, your events should be routed as per your rules and create incidents.
