Two oncallers per week?

So right now, we’re currently building out our oncall.

Our hope is to do noon Friday -> noon Monday + noon Monday -> noon Friday, so 3/4 days each.

I don’t see a way to make this happen other than doing a weekly schedule with manual overrides?

But I’m pretty new so I could be missing something here.

You can configure a schedule with two users, where one user is on-call from Friday 12pm - Monday 12pm, and the other user is on-call from Monday 12pm - Friday 12pm.

Layer 1

  1. Add the first user to layer one
  2. Select Restrict on-call shifts to specific times
  3. Restrict on-call duty to specific times-of-the-week from Friday at 12:00pm to Monday at 12:00pm

Layer 2

  1. Add the second user to layer two
  2. Select Restrict on-call shifts to specific times
  3. Restrict on-call duty to specific times-of-the-week from Monday at 12:00pm to Friday at 12:00pm

Final schedule

Your final schedule should look like this, where User 1 is on-call from Friday at 12:00 to Monday at 12:00, and User 2 is on-call from Monday at 12:00 to Friday at 12:00.

That works, even if it does make having primary and secondary shifts be aligned into a bit of a pain.

So off-call -> primary -> secondary -> off-call again.
