Incident Management without requiring On-Call support

I was wondering whether is it possible to create pagerduty incidents through events sent from prometheus without needing someone on-call. This is because we want to have incident management for alerts that do not require immediate action.

Hi Shriram,

It isn’t possible to create an incident if there is no one on-call. However, depending on your overall use-case, you may be able to utilize Dynamic Notifications on your service so that incidents that don’t require immediate action are labeled low-urgency while other incidents are high-urgency. If these types of alerts come in during a particular point of the day, you may be interested in configuring support hours on your service to also control whether incidents are low or high urgency.
